Full Time Start Date: October 1, 2010 This position is available immediately The Sexual Recovery Institute, a specialty therapy agency directed toward the outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment of sexual addiction, is seeking an Assistant Clinical Director. The Sexual Recovery Institute (SRI) is a premiere national outpatient sexual addiction and non-violent sexual offender treatment agency serving over 125 people weekly in group, individual, couples, and intensive sexual addiction treatment. The agency provides local programs for individuals and couples residing all over Southern California, while also hosting persons seeking intensive treatment from throughout the United States and abroad. SRI provides confidential, ethical, and effective clinical programs that encourage healthy sexuality, relationship intimacy, and personal integrity. Job Description:SRI is seeking to hire a full-time, salaried Assistant Clinical Director who is a dynamic, team-minded, and skilled clinician, administrator, and supervisor. We prefer someone with addiction treatment experience and expertise who can address the needs of high-functioning adult clients being treated for sex addiction and behavioral health issues. The candidate must have a willing to learn and grow attitude, demonstrated experience providing clinical addiction treatment to adults, and must be able to feel comfortable discussing, addressing, and working with topics and issues related to sexual disorders. The Assistant Clinical Director is responsible for maintaining a small clinical caseload of both group and individual clients as well as providing client psycho-education and related direct clinical services. Other primary responsibilities include co-leading weekly individual and group supervision for interns, participating as part of the treatment team as well as carrying out other staff and team duties. The Assistant Clinical Director reports to the Clinical Director and operates as part of the SRI Team. Requirements: · Licensed MFT, LCSW or Psychologist in the state of California for 2 years · Master's degree, Psy.D. or Ph.D., in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology or Social Work · Minimum 2 years professional experience working with adults, couples · Good diagnostic, clinical, and presentation skills · Ability and interest in working as part of a treatment team · Clear understanding of the disease process of addiction and addiction treatment · Working knowledge of the AA 12 Steps · Familiarity and comfort discussing and working with addiction · High ability to provide support to the Clinical Director and to be a communicative, active member of the SRI team · Demonstrated experience in the provision of adult clinical addiction treatment · Addiction experience is required. Sex addiction treatment experience, preferred, certification a plus. · Ability to work with high functioning, intelligent, professional client population—who often struggle with denial and narcissistic behavior · Solid group presentation and teaching skills · Supervision experience with interns or supervision certification is preferred Additional Information: · Monday thru Friday schedule--occasional Saturdays required (approximately 1 monthly) · 2 evenings weekly, required · Occasional on-call availability required for emergency phone calls only · Potential to maintain a small private practice of 2 to 4 clients per week onsite · Benefits include healthcare coverage, sick leave, paid vacation, 401 K, etc.· SRI is set for upcoming expansion to additional locations and settings To apply for the SRI Assistant Clinical Director position: 1.
